About Manuel Sanhouse
Manuel Sanhouse, born on July 16, 1975, in Mérida, Venezuela, built a remarkable career as one of his country’s most respected goalkeepers. He guarded the nets for top Venezuelan clubs such as ItalChacao, Caracas, and Deportivo Táchira where he also had loan spells with Mérida, Trujillanos, and Maracaibo—before closing his professional chapter with Deportivo Lara and Aragua FC. On the international stage, he proudly earned 16 caps for the Venezuelan national team between 1999 and 2007, representing his country in three Copa América tournaments.
After retiring in 2013, Manuel transitioned into coaching, serving as goalkeeper coach for prestigious teams including Deportivo Táchira in Venezuela, Universidad de Chile, and Universidad Católica in Ecuador’s Serie A.
He now continues his mission of developing top-tier talent as the Goalkeeper Director at FD Football Club in Orlando, blending decades of elite playing experience with proven training methods to deliver technical mastery, tactical understanding, and the winning mindset required to excel at the highest level.
